Frank Thanh Nguyen was born in Dalat, South Vietnam, from a large family. He spent most of his childhood and high school years in Saigon while the Vietnam War raged through the country. In 1981, he escaped the country and settled in the US. He went to college and earned his master’s degree in Computer Science. He worked for many high-tech companies in the Silicon Valley in California for more than thirty-five years. He is now retired and spent much of his spare time in writing music and novels. He is the author of the published memoir, Rain On The Red Flag (Mưa Xa Trên Màu Cờ Đỏ).
